Abstract
GEBAUER, M. Steel stiffener stress analysis. Ostrava: Department of mechanic, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, 2009, XX p. Thesis, head: Poruba, Z.
The purpose of the project is to calculate the stress concentration factors for geometry as function of the angle by means of the Finite Element Method. Model was created in the program Ansys 11. In many plate type structures, stiffeners are applied to avoid buckling of the relatively thin plates. Those stiffeners start at a certain position and end again. Just at their terminations stress concentration factor will occur. A table or graph with stress concentration factor may assist the designer with quick information which peak stresses can be expected and how the stress concentration can be minimized by the best way.
