Abstract
The bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of a computer-controlled milling machine. The introduction of the thesis addresses the presentation of the issue, followed by the establishment of the work objectives. This is followed by a research section, which presents examples of completed computer-controlled milling machines, mainly for the hobby users and describes common types of constructions. Based on the research foundation a list of requirements is compiled. Subsequently, a spindle is selected, for which a milling operation is calculated. Three conceptual variants are then developed and one variant is selected for detailed development based on evaluation using multi-criteria analysis. The detailed construction of the selected variant is described along with relevant parameters and one of construction is computationally verified. The next chapter provides a block diagram of the electronic component connections and their description. The control system for operating the device is also briefly described. A separate chapter is dedicated to the approximate determination of the proposed device's cost. The penultimate chapter summarizes the evaluation of the achieved results. Finally, there is a brief assessment of how effectively the set objectives of the thesis were achieved and an overall evaluation.
