Abstract
This paper deals with the semi-dry method of desulphurisation of flue gas produced by combustion of black coal in power plants and heating plants. Desulphurisation units operating on the principle of semi-dry desulphurisation of flue gas do not always work optimally. Some of these reasons are inappropriate conditions for desulphurisation. The aim of this work is to describe and analyse parameters of semi-dry desulfurisation method on real equipment and determine general rules applicable to the optimization of desulphurisation units working on the same or similar principle of flue gas desulphurisation.
For research of the parameters of the desulphurisation process was used a real desulphurisation unit, which is in detail described in this paper. In this paper is also describes the principle of semi-dry desulphurisation, methodology for determining the individual parameters of the desulphurisation process and the methodology for additional or verification measurements at the desulphurisation unit. The analysis of the operating parameters is based on the performed measurements and on the long-term monitoring of the operating data of the desulphurisation unit with regard to the fuel change of heat source. The information provided by the plant operator include operational data for steam boilers and desulphurisation units for a period of three years. During this period, there was change in desulfurization sorbent and a change in the fuel composition of the heat source.
The result of the work is the dependence of desulfurization efficiency on individual parameters of the desulfurization process such terminal mode of solid particles in the absorber, Ca / S molar ratio, flue gas temperature by the absorber and the amount of injected water. The work also describes verification of necessity of the presence of water in the desulphurisation process and the influence of moisture of the desulphurisation by-product on the desulphurisation reactions.
The work also discusses the issue of flue gas desulphurisation from the combustion of black coal with a higher chlorine content than is typical for Czech black coal. Combustion these coals is related to the adjustment of operating parameters to ensure trouble-free operation.
