Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a machine used for cutting (dividing, separating) PVC tubes. Those plastic/plasticed tubes are frequently used for marking wires in complex cable harness. At the beginning of the work the need for such a machine is being introduced and comparison with other available similar solutions on the market is made. One of the main objectives of the work is to meet as close as possible the requirements defined by the client. To arrive at best possible solution some research into history and description of the cutting material is given. Subsequently, two fundamental aspects of cutting material are pinned down (introduced). First, possibilities of moving the electrical tubes to the shear member are investigated. Second, various possible solutions to the cutting of the electrical tubing are discussed. After careful evaluation of possible solution, final design is presented. Due to the various products currently available on the market, the proposed design of the feed and cutting part is being realized as simply and cheaply as possible, while maintaining its functionality.
