Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with engineering design of hand driven screw jack using bevel gears. There are all necessary calculations of elements servant for the right function of screw jack included in this thesis. It is specifically a suggestion and calculation of kinetic screw, a diagnosis of proportions of matrix and a verification of lifting mechanism on buckling. After that, the parameters for calculation and verification of gear-set are determined. Calculations of torsion and flexural torques of screw and pinion gear's shaft are mentioned. Consequently, the correct type of bar is chosen, slip feather is suggested and critical cross section, placed below it, is verified. In the end, bearings are suggested and verified. An assembly of screw jack and a production drawing are attached as parts of the thesis.
