Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the calculation of a screw conveyor for the transport of building materials, specifically for the transport of powdered limestone. The main objective of this thesis is to design the entire screw conveyor according to the specified conveying quantity and the specified conveying length. The first and introductory part contains a brief research on screw conveyors. The second part of the thesis deals with the actual calculations and design of the conveyor. After the individual calculations, the individual parts of the conveyor were designed, including the drive unit, which consists of a motor and a gearbox. Based on the calculated and designed components, a model of the screw conveyor was created in Autodesk Inventor 2023. One component was selected from the model for which a manufacturing drawing was created. The last section of this work includes the assembly drawing of the screw conveyor for transporting powdered limestone.
