Abstract

The presented dissertation deals with an influence of grinding finishing technology on quality of products. The development of finishing operation, especially grinding leads to increase of cutting conditions. High efficiency can be obtained with the powerful type of abrasives only. These materials must be able to work with high cutting efficiency under critical conditions and must provide sufficient results of roughness and cutting forces. Evaluation of the abrasive influence on the product surface is aim of this dissertation. It is based on measuring components of cutting forces and parameters of surface quality. Grinding standard type of abrasive – white electrocorundum and mixture of white electrocorundum and microcrystalline corundum – SG corundum is compared in this work. An influence of abrasives is evaluated on components of cutting forces and also on selected parameters of surface roughness for testing materials. Evaluation an influence of technological conditions changes on components of cutting forces is the main aim of dissertation with using some ratios of a mixture of abrasives. Next aim is evaluation of the abrasive influence on the surface of testing materials due to results of selected parameters of roughness quality. The introductory part of thesis is focused on description of the technology, its principles and processes the grinding. The issue of cutting forces is described in following chapters. Piece of the introductory passages of thesis is also occupied with description of statistical methods and its applications. Experiments, description of results and its evaluation are major part of work. The work includes dependences and results in compared to individual grinding wheels by the variable depth of cut or feed rate. Comparison of results for each material is another part. Final summary diagrams were created for description complex results of both materials after that. Results of surface roughness parameters are displayed and described in next part. Description the system of the database components of cutting forces is the last part. It was created on the basis of results and applied statistical methods. Evaluation of obtained results was made for practical use and scientific contribution of dissertation in conclusion. Another possibility the study of the issue is described at the end of work.
