Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with project management and material flow analysis within the context of production optimization. The introductory section presents the subject matter generally from the perspective of project management theory, capacity calculations, risk management, and material flow analysis. This is followed by a detailed analysis of production on selected machines at HPT Humbel and Novogear. The project is then presented from various perspectives, with the focus on planning project activities in terms of scope and timing. The thesis applies project management and risk analysis methods and creates a spaghetti diagram of the material flow before and after project implementation. Based on the analyses conducted, proposals were presented to prevent or minimize the negative impacts of risks on the project, and as part of the reorganization, a proposal was made to change the planned layout of some production equipment to shorten product transport routes.
