Abstract

The theme of my thesis „Personal education and advancement of the Czech Customs Administration staff“ deals with problems of education processes for employees of this organisation. The aim of the thesis is to survey acceptance of the current system of education among the employees, verify whether it provides sufficient space for their further career growth and also review supposition of inadequate foreknowledge of the staff in cases of implementing of new specific software applications or modifying of the current ones and general awareness of e-learning. The first part of the thesis focuses on theoretical outcomes linked to the term of education in literature. Basic terms such as learning, program, methods, etc. and their interconnections are presented there. Another part describes the organisation itself, the system of career building in the Czech Customs Administration. The aims of the study, clarification of study queries, substantiation of the chosen research methods and technology of data collection including analysis of documents and data from the questionnaire survey are presented in other parts. The outcomes are formed of my own proposals and recommendations that in my opinion could represent benefits for the organisation.
