Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with design-projection solution of chain conveyor for transport woodchips. The thesis includes analyzation of present condition technical devices in the field of transport of woodchips. The work contains capacitive, technology calculations and strength calculations of main parts of conveyor. Primarily calculations of resistance forces which are determining a peripheral force on chain drum and calculations of required power consumption for design of the drive. The calculation of these forces has been controlled by graphical numerical method. In addition, a check was made of start the engine, check the brake and determine the necessary tensioning force. This work is based on the actual application, which was in operation in the heating plant Loučovice a.s. Part of the thesis is also drawing documentation of the assembly of the drive station, return and tensioning station and overall assemblies including the supporting structure of the trough and the structure used for maintenance of the trough.
