Abstract

KOCOUREK, Robert. New Psychoactive Substances in Schools as a Threat. Ostrava, 2026. Věra Holubová, Ph.D. This thesis focuses on issues related to new psychoactive substances in the school environment, which pose a significant risk to the health and safety of adolescents. The theoretical section of the thesis examines the current drug situation, as well as the characteristics of new psychoactive substances, their classification, effects, and legal definition in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis consists of a questionnaire survey conducted among high school students, supplemented by structured interviews with experts on the subject. The collected data are subsequently analyzed using a SWOT analysis, which was supplemented by a GAP analysis to help identify differences between the expected and actual states. The outcome of this thesis is a set of recommendations aimed at improving preventive and safety measures within the school environment.
