Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a new type of mechanical wedge. In the introduction the variants of wedges available on the market are compared. Based on the comparison of the different designs, a custom design solution is chosen. Using reverse engineering, the values necessary for the calculation are found. These values are then used in the sizing of the bolt and nut in the device. The calculation part also includes the inspection of the outer plates using the finite element method. The designed device is then compared with the wedges available on the market. Drawings are also produced for the device to the extent required.
