Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of edge treatment on the final quality of the coating. The introduction introduces the importance and consequences of corrosion, the methods used for corrosion protection, the necessary surface treatments prior to the application of protective coatings and the methods of testing the quality of coatings. The investigation will be based on a comparison of a total of four corrosion protection systems that will be tested using a corrosion chamber. The results show the real importance of edge treatments prior to the application of anticorrosion systems.
