Abstract

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to propose measures which will lead to the reduction of waste and improve the impregnation line performance with the help of methods of indus-trial engineering and project management. The whole project is led by the DMAIC method. The first part introduces the definition of the project, setting the goals, foundation of the project together with the project team, strategy of the project and an outline of the project schedule. The second part deals with the measurement itself and analyses of the current state with the help of VSM mapping process, the day snapshot, moment observation, analyses of production and its problems, analyses of routes´ and their frequency. The third part contains an assessment of the analyses, and problem identifications. The fourth part proposes possible measures on the basis of previous analyses and used methods. Finally, I evaluate the benefits which my thesis may bring.
