Abstract

This thesis describes the way of creating and editing the cutting tool library of the given machine in 5axis center. The 5axis center was available at VŠB Ostrava. Specifically, it was the DMG MORI - DMU50 machine tool. Diploma works deals with cutting tools management and using software support for cutting tools management. The database of cutting tools that have been the subject of this diploma thesis is updated in Microsoft Office Excel, which subsequently served to create the Tool Sheet in the Mastercam Support System and the Tool List in the machine. These all created databases are identical and the tools are more identifiable. The cutting tool database is designed to meet the needs of the programmer and the machine operator. Of course, the interconnection of these databases reduces significantly the extra time in the production, which leads to the efficiency of the given operation.
