Abstract

In the first part of the diploma work there is a theoretical introduction to the problem, that is a supply, demand, the market and its behavior, and further a brief description of the organization of air transport and of alliances also figuring in the air transport market. In the next part there is a search for the biggest air transport companies in the world, an analysis of these companies, and on the basis of this analysis an ideal model of an air transport company is designed, which is able to withstand competition. In the third part, air transport companies are divided into categories, and a theoretical model and SWOT analysis is further created. The practical part is made up of a comparison of two world-wide air transport companies, which comes from the specific data of the companies and on its basis an economic evaluation of an ideal model is made.
