Abstract

The Masters thesis deals with the design and strength assessment of the supporting frame of the water tank located on the train. In the second chapter is an analysis of the current solution used in Škoda Vagonka a.s. and in the world. Then the optimal of the three suggested variants is selected using the point rating. The connection of the frame and the car body of the vehicle is designed and checked for the one-off overload and fatigue life. The point of connection is needed to prevent contact corrosion. In the same way, the frame itself and its weld joints are also designed and inspected by FEM.
