Abstract

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a mechanically controlled friction plate clutch of a saw, which transmits the torque from the electric motor to the shaft by means of a V-belt. Its main function is to change the transmission of torque from the electric motor to stop the saw using the brake. Shaft couplings, brakes and belt transmissions are described in the theoretical part. In the practical part, the design of the clutch itself, the friction plates and the choice of the brake are made. Then the critical stressed parts are checked, such as the friction plates, the clutch engagement mechanism and the screw connections between the brake disc and the clutches. Subsequently, the drawing documentation of the entire multi-plate clutch assembly, sub-assembly of the clutch shift lever and production drawings of the inner and outer friction plates is drawn up.
