Návrh vybraných podvozkových komponent pro konverzi na 10" disky hybridní studentské formule

Abstract

This master’s thesis focuses on the design of selected suspension components of the front wheel assembly of the Vector 11 Formula Student vehicle, addressing the transition to 10-inch wheels and the integration of a hybrid powertrain with an in-wheel electric motor on the front axle. The introductory part defines the limit driving states based on data from tyre testing, which serve as input for the subsequent strength calculations. The main body of the thesis covers the design of the planetary gearbox of the electric motor, the selection of the wheel rim and brake caliper, the bearing life calculation of the wheel hub bearings, the design of the hub and upright verified by finite element analysis, and the design of a brake disc. The conclusion outlines possible directions for further development, including topology optimisation of selected components, verification of the calculated load cases by telemetry measurement, and thermal analysis of the brake system.
