Abstract
The thesis deals with the design of a swash plate type axial piston unit, which uses orifices with a variable flow area to optimize pressure conditions in the piston bores and to control the swash plate displacement. This is a project of Danfoss Power Solutions a.s. entitled "HYDRAULIC AXIAL PISTON UNIT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING". The thesis describes an analysis of the calculation of physical quantities of a classical axial hydrostatic unit. This analysis serves as a basis for modifying the simulation software. Using simulations, a new hydrostatic unit system is tested, and based on the results, various unit parameters are modified to achieve its highest efficiency. Based on the final knowledge about the behaviour of the unit, two mechanisms for controlling the swash plate are designed.
