Abstract

The aim of the master´s thesis is the design and selection of components of the braking system and stress analysis of the brake pedal. The thesis is divided into six parts. In the introductory part is the theory of brake system and its components. In the second part is introduced the competition, which will the vehicle take part in and the rules relating to the braking system. The third part deals with the dynamic calculation of the braking system. Then followed by the part in which the individual components of braking system are selected. The last but one part is the stress analysis of the selected brake pedal and the draft of the structural modifications in case of unsatisfactory results of the analysis. The final section contains an evaluation and conclusion of the thesis.
