Abstract

The thesis describes a horse limbs treatment cooling device. The hypothermic device is designed for cooling of hindlimb tibia area. In the research part of the thesis there are introduced effects of hypothermia and current ways of its technical implementation and physiology of horse limbs. Necessary cooling output of the device has been determined using an experimental measuring device. After requirements were specified, functional structure and morfological matrix was developed from which was selected a draft of the device. Finite element method was used to simulate limit states.
