Abstract
This thesis deals with extending of the number of sensors on the chassis of a service robot for better orientation in the indoor areas. There was search of available sensors on the market performed and the sensors used on the robot were described in detail in the introduction. Afterwards, three potential alternatives are presented. The final alternative was selected after the value analysis and then was more elaborated. Further were drawn 3D models of the sensors covers and lay-outs of possible operator views. Finally the integration of acquisition and transmission of sensor data into existing control system of the robot was thought over.
