Abstract
VIKTORA, T. Possibilities of reducing cutting tool wear during rough turning: Bachelor thesis. Ostrava: VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Machining, Assembly and Engineering Metrology, 2020, 50 p. Thesis head: Sadílek, M.
The bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of reducing the wear of the cutting tool during rough turning. The theoretical part of the work summarizes information about the wear of cutting tools, the methods by which wear can be measured, and also mentions the parameters that affect the wear. The experimental part deals with the possibilities of reducing the wear of the cutting tool. A series of wear measurements was performed on 4 replaceable inserts of type C. For two replaceable inserts, roughing was performed at a constant depth of cut and different cutting speeds. For the other two replaceable inserts, roughing was of variable depth of cut with conical surface formation and different cutting speeds. Wear was evaluated using a stereomicroscope.
