Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the study of heterogeneous welded joints of carbon and stainless austenitic steels used in the nuclear industry. The work contains a theoretical description of the problem of welding heterogeneous welded joints, weldability of carbon and high-alloy steels and assesses the current state of heterogeneous welded joints used in power engineering. In the experimental part was proposed a procedure for welding heterogeneous and homogeneous joints of carbon and stainless austenitic steel pipes. The samples were made and evaluated on the basis of metallographic analysis and Vickers microhardness test. The aim of the work was to expand the existing knowledge about these heterogeneous welded joints in terms of weldability, service life and safety of their operation at nuclear power plants.
