Ph.D. The aim of the thesis is to describe the lubrication of fluid friction bearing and to determine which of the two types of used oils is more suitable for the practical usage - the determination is based on the price and description of lubrication of both types of oils. In the first part of the thesis the general information about the rolling processes and fluid friction bearing are mentioned, together with the characteristics of the operation and description of the engine lubrication system. The second part of the thesis deals with the methods of tribotechnic diagnostics and comparison of the characteristics of both types of oils and their recommendation for the following operations. In the conclusion the economic assessment and the evaluation of the whole thesis is included.
