Abstract

Machine efficiency monitoring is a part of the Total Productivity Management, where the right data collection and information is the key. Getting to know the company, its values, attitude to the environment and a social responsibility indicate the significance of its production system. It summarizes the principles and tools for an improvement of the process not only in production. The analysis of the current state is described by the project team and specifies devices that are subjected to increasing their effectiveness. The whole project is managed using the DMAIC method, which defines objectives, data collection needed for the analysis, proposes solutions and controls the changes made. The analysed data are processed using suitable industrial engineering methods. The implementation of measures shows an increase in the efficiency of the facility and it is also supported by planned changes. The goal always is to continually improve processes and to increase the efficiency of the equipment in a relation to employees and the environment.
