Abstract

Poloch R.; „Replacement of a ferrite-bainite HR60 steel grade with a fine grain steel S460MC“; Ostrava: Department of Materials Engineering; Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, VŠB-Technical University, 2010. Bachelor’s thesis, Supervisor prof. Ing.Vlastimil Vodárek, CSc. At the present time, the HR60 steel grade, dedicated for production of certain types of cold-shaped car wheels, is getting to be used less and is replaced by the S460MC grade. The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to compare in detail both of the above mentioned steel grades from the point of view of the material itself, i.e. to compare their microstructures, grain sizes, chemical composition, carbon equivalent and mechanical properties. The first part of the thesis deals with basic terms and facts related to this topic. The final part summarizes and evaluates the detected differences between the both studied materials.
