Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis describes the investigation of the conditions for the formation of cavitation on convergent-divergent nozzle during oil flow. The first part describes the theory of fluid properties, flow, hydraulic oils, cavitation, quantitative assessment of cavitation and measurement uncertainties. The second part deals with the description of the measurement circuit, the determination of the measurement methodology and evaluation of the measurement itself. In the end, the measurement is compared with the result of the measurement on the water circuit.
