Posouzení klíčových aspektů emoční inteligence a jejich vliv na vedení týmů ve vybrané společnosti

Abstract

This bachelor thesis explores the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in team leadership and analyses how the individual components of EI influence leadership effectiveness at Severomoravské vodovody a kanalizace Ostrava a.s. (North-Moravian Water & Wastewater Company; SmVaK). The theoretical part elaborates the concept of emotional intelligence, its importance for leadership, and the ways it can be developed. The practical section draws on a questionnaire survey conducted among SmVaK managers and interprets the findings within a corporate context. Based on the identified needs and challenges, a development programme titled “Water EQ 2026” was designed, linking the research results to concrete modules, tools, and recommendations for the long-term cultivation of emotional intelligence within the company. The findings indicate that emotional intelligence—especially empathy and self-regulation—plays a key role in maintaining team cohesion, motivation, and employee satisfaction.
