Abstract
The topic of this master thesis focuses on the strength analysis of the bolted joint of a bearing used in telescopic pliers from Prestar s.r.o. The main objective of the thesis is to conduct a detailed stress analysis of the bolted connection, both by analytical calculations and by means of the finite element method (FEM). Based on the FEM results, a critical area of stress concentration was identified, for which an optimization of the nut geometry was proposed to reduce the stress concentration in the critical part of the joint and thereby the risk of failure. The proposed modification was verified through numerical analysis and its benefits were subsequently evaluated. In the conclusion, the achieved results are summarized, and it is confirmed that all defined objectives were achieved.
