Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the use of an electric boiler in power plant technology, where it will be able to support power balance services. At the beginning of the thesis, individual types of electric boilers are introduced. The thesis also includes a description of a gas boiler, a biomass boiler and a coal boiler. These boilers are then theoretically compared with an electric boiler in terms of energy parameters, economic aspects and environmental impact.
