Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to validate hypothesis about positive relationship between education and economic growth of OECD countries. To fulfil this task there are used theory and practice of authors who are interested in issue of education and economic growth. In this thesis is used several statistical methods, mainly descriptive and correation analysis. The bachelor thesis is diveded into three main chapters which is focused on definition of the term of education and economic growth. Next is the second chapter which summarizes the empirical research to the main indicators through literature search. In the third chapter of this thesis there can be found empirical analysis on my own which consists of descriptive methods followed by correlation analysis. The interrelationship between education and economic growth is influenced by the indicator ,, Attained a tertiary education degree“ which proves that the relationship of these indicators is positiv.
