Abstract
The Master thesis is focused on proposing an experiment to determine the impact of fatigue on effectiveness of airline transport pilots. The introduction of the thesis consists of describing the human factor in air traffic, and a fatigue in general. In the next part of the thesis there are several examples of accidents caused by fatigue of the crew. The lead example being the Colgan Air company’s crash in 2009 during which fifty people perished. The aim of the thesis is to propose a research of the impact of fatigue on airplane crew members.
