Abstract

Thesis is about implants for osteosynthesis of 5th metatars. In the introduction of thesis are described anatomy, skeletal system, clasification of fractures and their subsequent treatment (both generaly and specifically for the fifth metatars). Next are described certain types of implants for osteosynthesis of 5th metatars. In the main part is selected one type of osteosynthesis which is headless screw (Herbert screw). Stress-strain properties and reliability of this type of osteosynthesis will be tested on this screw. Three types of calculations are made - analytic, stochastic and numerical (using MSC, Marc. Mentat 2014.2.0). At the end these calculations are compared and evaluated. Observations are included for further development of this work.
