Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines the feasibility of intercontinental passenger transport using the Starship rocket system developed by SpaceX. The work first summarizes the historical development of space transportation, from state-led programs to current commercial initiatives, with a focus on technological progress and the evolving approach to human spaceflight. A specific route between Singapore and New York is then analyzed in terms of its suitability, potential spaceport locations, noise restrictions, and safety considerations. The Starship system is subsequently compared with the conventional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft and supersonic transport concepts, evaluating not only technical parameters but also economic costs and environmental impacts. Based on the collected data, the overall feasibility of the proposed solution is assessed, and the main challenges to its implementation in practice are identified.
