Abstract

This master thesis deals with a digitalization of the Festo mechatronic educational line (MPS). In the introduction, the connection of digitalization with the term “digital twin” is described, which is also further specified in more detail. The concept and characteristics of the MPS and the individual stations of which it may consist are then described in general terms. Then the specific MPS, its subparts and overall function are described. The last part of this thesis deals with the creation of the simulation model and the simulation of the process in the Process Simulate software. Finally, a set of recommendations is given that could be used to create a digital twin of the system.
