Abstract
The master´s thesis deals with the comparison of contact and contactless measuring methods in the evaluation of quality of cutting faces, for the given engineering material, made using abrasive water jet technology, laser beam and band saws. The samples were created using all three cutting technologies under different cutting conditions. This way were obtained series of samples with different cutting-edge quality. The master´s thesis is divided into two main parts. The first theoretical part describes selected unconventional technologies. The second part of the thesis is focused on the experiment, which compares the quality of cutting faces with the contact and non-contact method of measurement. At the end of the thesis the results (quality, appearance and roughness of the cutting face) are evaluated in relation to the type of technical material and the parameters of the individual cuts.
