Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of Roots blowers. Roots blowers are loaded with reduced efficiency at high rotor speeds, when kickback occurs. Kickbacks tend to be the main disadvantage of Roots blowers, so a bypass is introduced here that can compensate for such a disadvantage to some extent. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to build an experimental measuring stand for testing a Roots blower, which can be used to determine the ideal working conditions of a Roots blower with an established bypass.
