Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the structural design of an automatic circular saw head intended for cutting shaped stock made from material 27MnCrB5-2. The introduction briefly describes the issues of this specific design along with an overview of the company background guiding the design process. The introduction is also supplemented with a reference to the history of circular saws and their modern applications. The literature review of the thesis describes the issues of metal cutting with an emphasis on the problems of circular saws and especially their tools. The “my design” section of the thesis describes the functionality of the design along with calculations primarily focusing on verifying the proposed functional components of the assembly. The drawing documentation was created using Autodesk Inventor software.
