Abstract
The bachelor thesis deals with the design and modelling of a joint created by a 3D printing method in terms of its mechanical properties. The purpose of this thesis is to test the created joint and determine the maximum load the designed joint can carry. The work also contains the design of a computational model which supplements the experimental testing and allows the implementation of parametric study of the influence of dimensions on the load capacity of the joint. The introductory part contains a brief explanation about joints used in the 3D printing area and briefly describes the 3D printing method used to manufacture the designed parts. This is followed by a description of the designing. Furthermore, the work describes the testing of the chosen variants of the joints, that is, determining the limit load. The following section of the work deals with computer modelling of the joint or with finite element method analysis of this joint using Ansys Workbench 2020 R2 program. The conclusion is the evaluation of the obtained knowledge and comparison of the experimental testing with the FEM analysis.
