Abstract

The thesis discusses literary space in Litomyšl town. A lot of famous writes used to live in Litomyšl and there are many valuable places and buildings connected with literature and font. The thesis is trying to answer questions about town's future with mapping historical and contemporary font's space. It is mainly dealing with convenient buildings placement in the town area like archive building, library and town hall.

Practical part of the thesis is focusing on library design with continuity to impressive historical Augusta's printing office building which is located in the historical center. The library is designed as a socially cultural and informational center of Litomyšl. As well as the library was designed as a place for studying, free time spending, relaxation very close to the historical monastery gardens.
