Abstract

HODURA, M. Woodchipper design: Bachelor Thesis. Ostrava: VŠB — Technical University Ostrava, Faculty of mechanical Engineering, Department of construction and production machines, 2021, 81 p. Thesis head: Hapla, T. The bachelor thesis deals with the design of woodchipper, working based on rotors, for purpose of splitting small logs and branches. In the introduction of this thesis is made research of possible construction solutions, after that is work focused on developing woodchipper based on assigned parameters. Where the main part is splitting mechanism. At the beginning is chipping knife selected, based on the knife is proper shaft with mounting designed and after that are chosen others necessary components to ensure proper work of mechanism. Another chapter is focused on hiding dangerous parts and making the woodchipper operational friendly. All these structural units are inspected either by calculation or by the finite element method.
