Abstract

SOLDÁNOVÁ, Veronika. Design of a Meeting Room Interior with an Added Function as a Social Room in the Town Hall in Ostrava. Ostrava, 2025. Bachelor's thesis. Ostrava: VSB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Thesis supervisor: Prof. Ing. Martina Peřinková, Ph.D. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the renovation of existing halls in the town hall located in Martinov. The work includes a written section consisting of a literature review, information about Martinov, and general insights into town halls. The original condition of the space is documented with photographs and the original floor plan. I provided several new layout proposals, from which I selected the most spatially functional design and elaborated it in more detail. For the chosen layout, I created cross-sections and visualizations. Additionally, I designed two pieces of furniture. The first is a reception desk for the cloakroom, and the second is a table, which is represented eleven times in the floor plan. The conclusion of the thesis includes a list of the used furniture, citations, and the final summary of the work.
