Srovnání jízdních parametrů prvovýjezdových CAS u HZS ČR s různými typy brzdových soustav

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of driving parameters of tanker automotive sprayers (CAS) with different types of brake systems, namely drum and disc brakes. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the influence of the design of the brake system on the length of the braking distance and the overall braking efficiency of the vehicles used by the Fire Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes the principles of operation of individual types of brakes, legislative requirements according to UNECE Regulation No. 13 and factors affecting the braking distance of heavy vehicles. The work also includes a survey of the existing equipment of the Fire Brigade of the Czech Republic in terms of the prevalence of individual brake systems. The practical part is based on the measurement of braking distance of two TATRA vehicles with different type of brakes. The measurement results showed a significant difference in the actual braking distance and longitudinal acceleration, with the vehicle with disc brakes showing higher efficiency. Finally, recommendations are made for the selection of new equipment, tyre choice and driver training.
