Abstract
The diploma thesis is devoted to a macrocomposite plain bearing for use in internal combustion engines of passenger cars. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about plain bearings, materials for plain bearings, technological processes for the application of polymer layers and heat treatment of polymer layers. The following chapters describe the test methods that were performed in this work. The aim of the experimental work is to perform heat treatment of the polymer coating using infrared radiation so as to ensure a sufficient degree of curing of the polymer layer, which would occupy similar tribological properties as the polymer layer cured in the dryer. To assess changes in tribological properties, seizure tests and tests with a block-on-ring configuration were performed. Analyzes were performed on TGA and FT-IR instruments to understand the curing process and determine the degree of curing.
