Abstract

The focus of this bachelor’s thesis is to explain the significance of standardized input signals – the current loop and the voltage line. These technologies have versatile applications that remain relevant to this day, with no signs of imminent replacement. The thesis further describes the process of developing a functional generator capable of delivering these types of signals, as well as evaluating them. Emphasis will be placed on various aspects of the generator – such as overall efficiency, ease of use, and most importantly, the accuracy of the standardized input signals. Accuracy is especially important due to the use of these signals for transmitting information in systems designed to ensure safety.
