Abstract

The Bachelor thesis solves the problems of High - feed milling of steels. The theoretical part is devoted to the problems of high - feed milling of stainless steel, the cutting process, tools and characteristics of surface roughness. In the experimental part is the description of the selection of machine, tools, material properties and cutting conditions. The cutting forces were measured on the piezoelectric dynamometer KISTLER type 9255B and roughness evaluation by using the device Surfest SJ-210. For the experiment it was chosen the material steel 1.4301 (X5CrNi18-10) DIN 17 240. The results of the experimental part are measured values of roughness Ra and Rz and cutting force components Ffn, Ff and Fp which have been processed into tables and graphs. The final part contains the deduction of results measurements. The quality of the machined surface is dependent on the cutting conditions.
