Analýza možností predikce zatížení letištní služby řízení na letišti Ostrava/Mošnov

Abstract

The content of the thesis involves the analysis of the structure and availability of resources containing usable operational data on planned flights whitin the area of responsibility of the Ostrava/Mošnov control tower for the prediction of the workload of the aerodrome control service. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the existing methods for air traffic prediction at air traffic control units. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the description of possible occupation of each individual working position which can be activated to cope with the increasing workload at the aerodrome control tower. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis, an analysis of the current structure of the airport traffic is conducted, including selected statistics of the workload of the Ostrava/Mošnov control tower in 2023. In the practical part, suitable sources of information are identified and characterised and the data available in them are further analysed in order to determine the appropriate and most useful information on planned flights for the prediction of the workload of the aerodrome control tower. The thesis concludes with the presentation of a conceptual design of an application that will integrate and proces all usable data from the identified sources, both those currently used separately and newly identified sources. The thesis also presents a description of the algorithm for extracting and processing data from the individual sources.
