Abstract
Dissertation thesis deals with the development and optimization of safe air drives up to 15 kW. Specifically, the gear air engines which are created by two gears which are in the contact. These gears are then spun by using compressed air. The work deals with the development of air engines with non-standard HCR gearing.
The description of the types of air engines, including their manufacturers is at the beginning of the theoretical part. Thermodynamic phenomena in the engine are presented subsequently. It contains a description of each work cycles in which gear air engine can operate. In the next chapter, there are calculations of the geometric volume of the air engine (the characteristic dimension). There is the comparison of the geometric volume results by different authors at the end of the section. Calculations of air engine performance parameters are at the end of the theoretical part.
The experimental part is divided into two parts. The first one describes the design of a new calculation of the geometric volume using numerical methods. The geometric volume calculated by this new method is then compared to other commonly used calculations. The second part deals with the development of the optimization program for the design of the gear air engine. New one is the method of the design, wherein the air engine is designed with regard on more of his output parameters simultaneously. The user can control which parameters are important in the design, and which are not. This is followed by a practical program demonstration of the design of a gear air engine.
The annex describes in detail the source code of all programs developed within the thesis.
